The Eyes Have It
Let’s face it we spend a fair amount of time taking care of our horses and making them look and feel amazing but sometimes when need to turn that magic around and take care of ourselves. Besides being a horse junkie I am also a makeup/skincare junkie and always love trying new products. So this post is more you-centered than horse-centered and focuses on some of my absolute favorite eye products. Take some time to practice self-care and make yourself look as gorgeous as your horse.
Agent Nateur holi(glow) Ageless Eye Serum: Eye serums/creams that work are my holy grail and just as impossible to find. I have these lines/marks under my eyes (thanks dad for those genetics) that never seem to totally go away and are even made worse by a lot of other eye creams and constantly on the hunt for the one that will help as well as fight fine lines and wrinkles. I bought this one on a whim without even researching it, all I knew was that it was clean and free of toxic ingredients. I was shocked the next morning after I dabbed it on before bed to wake up to completely refreshed almost line free eyes. I just kept looking in the mirror in totally blissed out surprise. It has become my absolute go-to eye serum and I recommend it to everyone who will listen. Rituel De Fille Ethereal Veil Conceal and Cover: This company is just cool (only way to describe them) and I have literally loved everything I have purchased from them but this concealer takes the cake. It makes the lines and marks under my eyes completely disappear as well as evening out my skin tone. It goes on on creamy smooth and lasts all day long (even a long day in the barn). I actually wore it to my horse show last weekend and it stayed on thru entire day of riding and showing. It’s chameleon shades adapt to your undertones and offer a softly diffused, natural silk finish. Clove + Hallow Precision Buffer: This concealer brush quickly and evenly blends powder, liquid, and cream products for the ultimate airbrush effect underneath the eyes and over blemishes and is the brush I use to apply the Ritual De Fille Concealer. If you order the concealer add this brush to your arsenal it really does an amazing job of blending products.
Jones Road The Mascara: I am a mascara connoisseur and have tried probably over a hundred mascaras and ask a lot of my mascara. I want it to make my lashes look amazing as well as stay put thru an entire day at the barn without smudging or flaking. When I switched to clean beauty it was really hard to find a clean mascara that did everything I wanted it to do but when makeup artist Bobbi Brown announced her new clean makeup line I knew she would have an amazing mascara. The Mascara lives up to the hype and makes my lashes look like they are fake and stays on all day. If you wear makeup to the barn or when you show I would definitely recommend adding this one to your makeup bag. Also her Miracle Balm is amazing (and always sold out) but add one of those to your cart when you buy the mascara, if it is available.
