Product Review: W3ll People Cosmetics
Excuse the non-horsey nature of this post but this brand is just too good to not share. So today, we are going to focus on you and me and leave the horses out.
Did you know that your skin is your largest organ and absorbs about 80% of what you put on it. That means that if you are using skincare and beauty products with questionable, toxic ingredients you are absorbing those into your body. It is extremely important to look for clean, non-toxic skincare and makeup items and pretty much every beauty product I share on this blog is clean, because that is all I will use. I love trying new, clean brands and products and have recently fallen in love with W3ll People.
W3ll People was founded by a beauty dream team consisting of an elite makeup artist, cosmetic dermatologist and tree-hugging entrepreneur. Their goal is to create state of the art, all natural products that deliver flawless coverage, soothing protection and lightweight formulas. They are plant powered, cruelty free, clean and EWG Certified (a very big deal in the clean beauty world). And when I say clean, I mean way cleaner than a lot of other clean companies, they stay away from synthetic fillers, sulfates preservatives and fragrances and have a list of 1,700 ingredients they won’t use.
But not only are they clean but they perform extraordinarily well, easily putting to shame so many non-clean large cosmetic companies out there. I have become a true fan because the products are just that great and hold up well to a day spent in the barn.
These four products have become well established in my regular routine and I highly recommend giving them a try.
Bio Tint Multi-Action Moisturizer SPF 30: This bendable, hydrating, tinted moisturizer protects skin from the sun while delivering a lightweight tint of color that smooths your skin. It goes on easily and sinks in and never feels tacky or heavy after a day in the barn. It’s sheer coverage is the perfect amount to look and feel natural and flatters all skin tones. It is an easy one and done product.
Expressionist Volumizing Mascara: Turn up the volume while keeping it clean. This volumizing and lifting mascara instantly gives you full and feathery lashes from corner to corner. Powered by nourishing plant-based ingredients like Castor Seed Oil and Sunflower Seed Oil, the long-wear mascara formula conditions, hydrates, and supports healthy lashes while giving them a natural boost.
Nudist Lip Butter SPF 15: Most SPF Lip Butters are too buttery and don’t last very long but this one is the perfect mix of lip balm and lipstick, providing super hydration with a long lasting hit of color and did I mention it protects your lips from the sun. Buy it in all the colors and keep one in your makeup bag, purse, car and tack trunk. You will reach for it over and over again. I am also surprised how long the color lasts with just one application.
Optimist Lipstick: I am a huge lipstick junkie and expect a lot out of my lipsticks and this one has risen to the top of all my clean lipsticks because it acts and performs like MAC lipstick without the toxic ingredients. This high-impact, deeply hydrating satin lipstick is a plant-based, organic formula that creates a smooth, weightless texture on the lips with a great vibrant color pay off that lasts and lasts. Formulated with organic shea butter, jojoba oil, and silk, Optimist Semi-Matte Lipstick provides your pout with a combination of nourishing nutrients, vitamins, and omega oils for healthy hydrated lips. If you are looking for a cleaner lipstick this is great one.
