Holiday Gift Guide For Your Horse

Holiday Gift Guide For Your Horse

Tis the season for Holiday Gift Guides and what better way to continue to spoil your horse than with a gift guide just for them. All of these ideas are a great way to help keep them in tip top shape and thank them for being your partner throughout the year. There are also some great ideas to pass along to family members who are asking what you want for Christmas, because what horse owner doesn’t want or need more horse gear!

  1. Back On Track Mesh Sheet: If you haven’t invested in one of these yet, now is the time. It’s high-tech fabric helps heal, soothe and warm your horse and is invaluable while at horse shows and after long hard lessons.

  2. ThinLine Saddle Pad: ThinLine Saddle Pads use a unique, open-cell technology that distributes shock, weight, and heat laterally along the pad without compressing with the result of 95% shock absorption. This equates to less trauma on your horse’s back and a softer, less bumpy ride for you, Available in English, Dressage and Western Styles.

  3. Joey Jemison Halter: Your horse will be the most stylish horse in the barn with a leather tooled halter by Joey Jemison. Available in a variety of beautiful styles. If western tooled halters aren’t your style pick up a new leather halter and lead rope for your horse’s stocking. There are so many great options out there.

  4. Incrediwear Exercise Bandages: These are high-tech polo wraps that do it all by providing support, therapeutic benefits and cooling/icing (just hose them off after your ride and they provide long-lasting cold therapy). It’s nice to have one product that can be used in multiple ways.

5. Centaur Turbo Dry Cooler: This is my favorite cooler! It’s soft, stretchy material offers maximum evaporation and dries up to 3 times faster than other coolers so it helps keeps your horse drier and warmer. I grab it after baths and rinses on cool days and to help dry sweat after rides on cold days. It washes and wears well and is treated so there is virtually no static.

6. Book a massage with an equine massage therapist to give your horse a little extra pampering. It is also super helpful to know where they keep and hold tension and if they have any sore/tight spots. Every horse deserves a massage!

7. StableFeed Super Food Horse Treats: Spoil your horse with treats that taste good but also do good and won’t spoil your horse’s diet. My horses love these treats and they come in a mix of variations that can target specific issues that may help your horse. The Papaya, Carrot and Blueberry are some of our faves.

8. Guilt Free Turnout Horse Time: This one is a tough one, but something that needs to be done from time to time. As much as we love seeing our horses and riding and grooming them, they sometimes just need some time off to be a horse. Give them a day, a week or a few days here and there to just be a horse and without feeling guilty. It will also give you some time to get other things done and just take a break from barn and horse time without feeling guilty (especially during the holidays when you are crunched for time). Sometimes a guilt free mental break can work wonders!
